Dual
Enrollment

We are at the forefront of Dual Enrollment (DE) courses

Above & Beyond

We work with our local community college, Calhoun which is only ten miles away from the Persell Campus. Almost all the courses are taught on our campus, during the 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. school day. This allows students to continue fully participating in all high school activities without having to forego clubs, organizations, athletic and other opportunities.

Our faculty is selected, so that they can qualify as adjunct college professors. This requires a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the field in which they instruct. Having the opportunity to be taught at the college level by our faculty who are all Christians, is a rare and distinguishing characteristic.

ABS is a designated off-campus instructional site of Calhoun Community College holding an accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools-Council on Colleges (SACSCOC). Further, ABS maintains membership in National Alliance of Concurrent Educational Programs (NACEP).

Over the last few years, each graduate of ABS has averaged more than 36 semester hours of collegiate credit.  To date, some 17 students have elected to take enough DE courses to earn an Associate of Science degree before graduating from Athens Bible School. This means an ABS graduate will have earned between 60-64 hours and are half-way to the goal of receiving a four-year, baccalaureate degree.
